MANILA, Philippines – Online job portal Jobstreet by SEEK is partnering with the Private Sector Advisory Council (PSAC) and other agencies to host Career Con 2025, a job fair aiming to connect over 15,000 job candidates to over 100 companies at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City from January 28 to 29.

Participating employers hail from various industries, such as retail, banking, and logistics. The event will host resumé clinics and career coaching sessions, while jobseekers will also get the opportunity to interact with prospective employers in one-on-one interview pods.

For those working in middle to top management roles, the Career Con will also offer upskilling masterclasses and networking opportunities.

Joey Yusingco, Jobstreet by SEEK’s marketing head in the Philippines, said in a statement that the company sees Career Con as an opportunity to reshape how jobseekers connect with their employers.

“Our goal is to create direct pathways between jobseekers and employers, empowering individuals to find the roles that fit their skills while helping the employers to discover the talents that perfectly align with their company needs,” he said.

Labor Secretary Bienvenido Ledesma earlier said in a statement that the CREATE MORE Act is expected to stimulate economic growth and generate more jobs. He also vowed to prioritize the upskilling of Filipino workers to equip them with the necessary skills for the current job market. (READ: [In This Economy] Red flags in Marcos’ CREATE MORE)
